Leather pouch replacement for electric razor

The cheap nylon pouch that came with my electric razor is coming apart at the seams. I don't much like synthetic fabric to begin with so I decided not to repair it.

This is my first attempt at working with leather. I found a suitably thin piece of scrap leather with the right dimensions, eyeballed the design using some paper cutouts and doodles, found the right leather needles for the sewing machine in a local craft store and simply got to work.

Result: Success

Despite some minor difficulties, I'm happy with how the pouch turned out.

Lessons learned

Don't use a normal ballpoint pen to draw cutting outlines on leather, not even on the insides. It's very hard to remove again and more noticable than anticipated.
Even a small needle hole in leather is permanent. (Not much of an issue in this case because the holes are hidden from view)
